FICPI is excited to confirm that
Mr. Robert L. Stoll, Commissioner of Patents in the USPTO, and
Mr. Benoît Battistelli, President of the EPO, will join a long list of distinguished speakers at the upcoming FICPI Forum being held in Munich, September 8 - 11. Mr. Stoll, who has been Commissioner of Patents since October, 2009, was previously Dean of Training and Education at the USPTO, directing efforts to train foreign officials and the public on all aspects of intellectual property. He will will discuss recent developments and initiatives at the USPTO.
Mr. Benoît Battistelli became President of the EPO on July 1, 2010 and will hold that office for the next five years. He is an advocate for strengthened international co-operation to reduce duplication of work at patent offices around the world. Mr. Battistelli has supported the introduction of a European Union patent and the development of a European patent litigation system. He will discuss recent developments in the European and the global patent system.
