All our members are intellectual property attorneys in private practice, whose qualification, reliability and professional standing are well established. Their clients span all types and size of industrial corporations, multi-national companies, small and medium size enterprises and individual inventors.

Members of the Federation deal with all matters in the field of intellectual property, including:

• the filing and prosecution of applications for patents, utility models, trademarks and designs and the maintenance of such intellectual property rights
• advising in matters relating to intellectual property rights and related legal matters, including unfair competition, licensing, know-how and the transfer of technology
• litigation in all fields of intellectual property

the network
FICPI has members in 86 countries/regions throughout the world, a large number in some countries, particularly those which have traditionally used and respected IP rights, and fewer in others. Consequently members are organised in National Associations, or Sections, and Individual members in a country/region where a national organisation does not exist as yet.
