| November, 2009 | SEAD Course 2010 A new SEAD Course (South East Asian Drafting training course) will be starting on 12 April 2010 at Hong Kong Island. Sept. 2009 | "FICPI-China SYMPOSIUM, November 2009"  In the current global financial crisis the world hopes that China's continued economic growth will result in the resuscitation of the world economy. The Chinese National Section of FICPI organised an interesting Symposium in Shenzhen on 15-17 November 2009, which covered the latest developments in the Chinese Patent System and its utilisation and probed into the provisions and differences of patent legislation, application and litigation in China and other jurisdictions. June 2009 | "FICPI INDIA SYMPOSIUM, December 2009" Today's India is a vibrant and pulsating place of growth and new networking opportunities. FICPI organised a Symposium at New Delhi on 9-11 December 2009 with leading speakers including Judge Fysh (UK), officials from WIPO, The EPO and IP India. The two-day programme featured among others a live panel discussions with CEOs from Indian industry plus members of FICPI and CII, an assessment of patentability in India, a comparison of patent examination and opposition practice in Europe, India and elsewhere. Following the success of the 2007 Beijing Symposium, a further symposium was held in Yokohama on 4-5 December 2008. It was organised by FICPI International in close cooperation with the Japanese Association of FICPI and the Japanese Patent Attorneys Association, JPAA. The object of the symposium was to consolidate FICPI's involvement in Japan and to increase mutual understanding between Japanese IP professionals and practitioners from other parts of the world.
